Harue Akado coaches the mahjong club at Achiga Girls' Academy, her old school in Nara Prefecture, and stars in the spin-off manga "Saki Achiga-hen episode of side-A." She's best known for once being called the "Legend of Achiga" after leading the school's team to nationals—a huge deal at the time. But after they lost, she basically fell apart, quit mahjong entirely, and the whole program eventually collapsed because of it. She did make a comeback of sorts when a pro team picked her up, though that didn't last; the team folded and she ended up heading back home.
