Kasuga is a ninja in service of the Uesugi clan who once answered directly to Sarutobi Sasuke. She's best known as Uesugi Kenshin's most trusted warrior and closest companion—though that wasn't always the case.
She was originally sent on an assassination mission against Kenshin himself, the legendary God of War. The moment she laid eyes on him, though, everything changed. She fell for him hard, captivated by his appearance alone. Rather than complete her mission, she switched sides entirely.
From that point forward, Kasuga became Kenshin's "Beautiful Sword"—his deadliest and most loyal fighter. She's remained at his side ever since, embodying a level of devotion that defines her character.
