A college-aged beta who lives next door to the Fujiyoshis and has become a close friend of the family. He started out pretty withdrawn and socially awkward, constantly putting himself down with stuff like "someone like me"—but Masaki's patience and Hikari's charm gradually brought him out of his shell. These days he's basically always at their place, helping out with Hikari and later Hinata, hanging out and keeping an eye on the kids.
He and Matsuo Tomohiro hit it off immediately. There's something about Tomohiro that made him feel at ease right from their first meeting, and that comfort level stuck. The Fujiyoshis have noticed he's actually pretty good at reading people—picking up on what someone's really like beneath the surface, figuring out their true intentions.
