Miyako's whole thing is mystery—she's obsessed with detective dramas and mystery novels, and she basically lives out that obsession by playing amateur sleuth whenever she gets the chance. She claims she was literally born to be a detective, and honestly, she's got real talent for it. When she's on a case, she does the full inner monologue thing, and she's not above using classic tropes to crack things open (like the time she nailed that "the butler did it" scenario during a stage play where the Producer actually played the guilty butler).
In Cinderella Girls Theater, her detective work gets even more screen time. She's been doing this since she was tiny—she even keeps a photo from the day she started. She uses her detective skills to dig into the other idols' lives through interviews and interrogations, which has worked out pretty well (she got the scoop on Ayame Hamaguchi's past that way). Though she didn't have as much luck with Noa Takamine; she got called out and scolded for poking around too hard.
The one thing holding her back is school. She's not a great student and has developed a pretty questionable philosophy: looking smart is the same as being smart.
