Synopsis

Shinichi Kanou is your average otaku—obsessed with anime, manga, games, and light novels, though his passion for 2D entertainment hasn't exactly made him popular. He has no idea that Japan has secretly found a portal to another world near Mount Fuji, and that the people on the other side, the Eldant Empire, are absolutely fascinated by Japanese pop culture. The government jumps on this opportunity and creates Amutech, a company supposedly selling general entertainment that's actually their front for cultural exchange. Shinichi somehow ends up as the company's general manager, which means he finally gets to put his massive otaku knowledge to actual use by introducing anime and manga to an entire fantasy empire. Except now he's got to pull it off while working with a half-elf maid, an empress, and a female soldier. Great.
