Ken Usato is your average high schooler—mediocre grades, ordinary dreams, the whole package. He's even the type to avoid standing out or hanging around people who do. So naturally, it catches everyone off guard when he suddenly befriends the student council president and vice president, who are basically the opposite of him in every way. Things take a wild turn when those two get summoned to another world. Ken gets dragged along by accident, and with no obvious way back, he figures he might as well accept his new reality and keep his head down. That plan falls apart pretty quickly once he discovers he can use healing magic—and not just any healing magic, but a genuinely rare type that immediately gives him confidence and makes him the talk of every mage in the kingdom. Turns out being special isn't always a good thing though. He learns this the hard way when he catches the attention of an unhinged fellow healer with her own questionable approach to magic.
