Nijusseiki Denki Mokuroku
It's summer 1907 in Kyoto's Fushimi district, where Inako Momokawa—daughter of a sake brewer—lives under her father's thumb. She finds solace in prayer at the local shrine, until she crosses paths with Kihachi Sakamoto, a cocky kid who dismisses religion and insists the future runs on electricity, not faith. They clash at first, but when Inako's father forces an arranged marriage on her, Kihachi steps up to help her escape. Their best shot? Finding The Electric Catalog, a book Kihachi wrote as a child filled with oddly accurate predictions about electricity. Problem is, his older brother Seiroku disappeared with it. So the two set out across Kyoto chasing down this mysterious book. Along the way, they witness a world transforming around them and develop a connection that'll never make it into the history books.
