Synopsis

Yaichi Kuzuryu is a teenage shogi prodigy—the best player alive and holder of the prestigious Ryuo title. His life gets turned upside down when an elementary school girl named Ai Hinatsuru shows up at his door, insisting he promised to teach her shogi. Yaichi has no memory of making any such promise, but somehow he ends up becoming her master anyway. From there, the story follows their unlikely mentor-student relationship as it develops.
