Synopsis

Three centuries have passed since the Calamity War ended. The old powers that once controlled the Earth Sphere are gone, replaced by new leaders in a world too tired for more fighting. But on Mars, trouble's brewing—the kind that could spark everything all over again. Mikazuki Augus works for a private military company called Chryse Guard Security. His job is simple enough: protect Kudelia Aina Bernstein, a young activist pushing for Chryse's independence from Earth. Things go south fast when Gjallarhorn—an elite unit sent to crush the independence movement—attacks CGS. The higher-ups bail immediately, leaving Mikazuki and the other soldiers behind as cannon fodder. That betrayal changes everything. Orga Itsuka, who leads the boys' squad, decides they're done taking orders from adults who don't care if they live or die. He stages a coup and tells Mikazuki to stop Gjallarhorn in their tracks. With nothing else available, Mikazuki pilots the only weapon CGS has: an old Gundam from the Calamity War era that they've been using as a power generator. Meet the Gundam Barbatos.
