Synopsis

Miyo's life has been pretty miserable ever since her mother died. She's grown up overshadowed by her talented stepsister, constantly put down by her stepmother, and basically treated like a servant in her own home. With no special abilities of her own, she's just accepted that this is how things are going to be—until her father suddenly arranges for her to marry Kiyoka Kudou, a well-respected military man. The stories about Kudou aren't great. He's got a reputation for being awful to his previous fiancées, so Miyo arrives at his place expecting the worst. But pretty quickly, she realizes that not everything people say about him is actually true. As she gets to know him better and figures out who he really is, Miyo starts to wonder if maybe this marriage could actually be the fresh start she's been hoping for.
