Kidou Senshi Gundam: Twilight Axis
It's UC 0096, a few months after the whole Laplace's Box situation wrapped up. The Earth Federation sends an investigation team out to Axis, which is just floating around in space now that it's been cut off. Two civilians are part of the group—Arlette Almage and Danton Hyleg—both former Zeon and Neo Zeon people who actually knew what they were doing (engineer and test pilot, respectively). Once they get inside Axis, things go sideways fast. They're attacked in a base that shouldn't have anyone in it, and Arlette and Danton end up dealing with something they never saw coming.
