Synopsis

Tatsu, the legendary yakuza who earned his fearsome reputation by taking down an entire rival gang with nothing but a lead pipe, was a name that could make both cops and criminals nervous. But then he vanished—and when he reappeared, everything had changed. Now he's swapped his life of violence for an apron and is trying to build a quiet, honest life as a house husband. The thing is, being a stay-at-home husband turns out to be just as brutal as his old gig. Supermarket sales are basically a war zone. His cooking is. well, it's a disaster. And somehow, no matter how hard he tries to keep his head down, people keep misinterpreting his every move. Gokushufudou follows Tatsu as he navigates the everyday chaos of domesticity, dead-serious in his new role as a reformed ex-yakuza trying to leave the dangerous life behind for good.
