Urano Motosu was obsessed with books. Seriously—she wanted to become a librarian and would read anything she could get her hands on. When an earthquake knocked over her bookshelf and killed her, her last wish was simple: if she got another life, she just wanted to keep reading. Somehow, she got her wish. She woke up as a sickly five-year-old girl named Myne in a medieval city full of people with oddly colored hair. The world itself is kind of cool, but everything else sucks—she's weak, her family is poor, and worst of all, books are rare and insanely expensive. Literacy isn't really a thing here. But Myne's love of reading didn't die with her old life. So instead of accepting a world without books, she decides to make her own.
