Nobuaki Kanazawa wakes up from a nightmare and immediately gets a creepy text message from someone calling themselves the King. The message is about something called the "King's Game"—basically, his whole class has to participate, they have 24 hours to follow whatever orders come through, and nobody's allowed to back out. At first, everyone figures it's just some elaborate prank and doesn't take it seriously. But then people start dying. Brutally. It turns out that ignoring the King's commands has actual, deadly consequences. As the orders get increasingly twisted and the body count keeps climbing, the class starts to panic. Now they're all stuck wondering if any of them will actually survive this.
