Shadows of Spawn
Ken Kurosawa, aka Double K, is a street thug with surprisingly good intentions—he uses his criminal earnings to support his sick sister Mariko. When he gets killed in a car bombing, Ken does what any desperate guy would do: he cuts a deal with the devil to see his sister again. Seven years later, he wakes up as a Hellspawn, decked out in a freaky costume with godlike powers. Like the original Spawn, Double K's story raises interesting questions about whether someone can actually be redeemed, and what his new role as a Hellspawn even means. But the series isn't too interested in deep answers—it'd rather throw you into wild action sequences and comedy instead.
