Synopsis

Fumiya Tomozaki is Japan's best player in the online game "Attack Family"—or "Tackfam" for short. His in-game username is "nanashi," and he's basically untouchable in the competitive scene. But here's the thing: he's terrible at actual life. He has almost no social skills and blames the unfair, confusing rules of real life for why he can't make friends. He's basically written himself off as the lowest-tier character in existence. Everything changes when he finds out who the number two Tackfam player actually is—Aoi Hinami, a popular, smart, and outgoing girl from his own high school. She's equally shocked to learn that the awkward, friendless Fumiya is the legendary "nanashi." Aoi decides right then and there that she's going to help him beat what she calls "the greatest game of all": life itself. With her coaching, Fumiya slowly starts improving his social skills and learning how to actually connect with people, tackling the messy reality of relationships and human interaction one challenge at a time.
