Synopsis

Fumiya Tomozaki is one of Japan's best gamers—he's literally ranked number one in Attack Families. But ask him about real life, and he'll tell you it's the worst game ever made. As a second-year high school student, he's convinced he's a bottom-tier character with no way to level up, so he's given up trying. Why bother when the game itself is completely broken and illogical? Then he meets Aoi Hinami, this impossibly perfect girl from his class. She's got the grades, the popularity, the whole package—basically everything Tomozaki isn't. But after they run into each other, Tomozaki discovers she's not quite the perfect heroine everyone thinks she is. That's where things get interesting. With Hinami's help, Tomozaki starts actually trying to figure out how to beat the game of life. What follows is a story about drama, romance, and whether he can finally level up as a person.
