Synopsis

Six months ago, Karukozaka High School got swallowed by the Underworld. When it came back, all 560 students and 28 teachers were gone—vanished without a trace. Everyone treated it like some freak incident and moved on, but nobody realized that two students had actually made it back: Nobu, a guy with a natural talent for sensing demons, and Yumi Shirakawa. Both of them tried to leave the trauma behind by switching to different schools and cutting contact, though they stayed alert for any demonic activity. Then the portal to the Underworld opens up again at their old school, and suddenly two opposing groups are hunting down survivors from the incident. The Ring of Gaea wants to lock down Tokyo with martial law to control the demon problem. Meanwhile, the Order of Messiah views Nobu and Yumi as obstacles to their vision of a new world. Things come to a head when a demon kills Nobu's mother right in front of him—and that's when he finally accepts that he can't keep running from his past.
