Legend has it the Astronomy Club's ghost showed up after one of its members died—and that's basically how this story begins. Ganta Nakami, a perpetually tired insomniac, runs into Isaki Magari hanging out in the abandoned observatory. Magari's supposed to be this laid-back troublemaker, but when she wakes up startled, she tries to bolt—except a busted door traps them both inside. The two end up becoming unlikely friends and start using the observatory as their own private hangout spot. Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia follows these two night owls as they spend time together under the stars, helping each other deal with their insomnia and everything that comes with it—the exhaustion, the isolation, the way it messes with school and life in general.
