The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
Zelda no Densetsu: Fushigi no Boushi
According to legend, the Picori are tiny magical beings who once lived among humans and gave a hero a magic sword to fight off evil spirits threatening the world. Ever since, Hyrule has celebrated them annually with the Picori Festival. On the hundredth anniversary of the festival, a boy named Link and his childhood friend Princess Zelda watch a martial arts tournament at the castle. Things go south fast when the tournament champion, Vaati, uses his power to break open a sealed chest and release the ancient evil spirits it contained. He also turns Zelda to stone in the process. Link decides his only option is to repair the shattered Picori Blade—the legendary weapon from the old stories—and use it to stop Vaati and save Zelda. His search for the Picori takes him to the Minish Woods, where he teams up with an unexpected companion: a talking, cap-shaped creature named Ezlo.
