A newly discovered tenth planet called Lametal is on a collision course with Earth, set to impact on September 9th, 1999. While the ice planet itself will survive intact, Earth won't be so lucky—it's headed for total destruction. Yayoi, the queen of Lametal's daughter, has been tasked with rounding up humans to enslave on her planet. But everything changes when she befriends Hajime, an orphaned boy. As the two grow close, Yayoi starts doubting her mother's plans. She teams up with Hajime and his human friends and family to fight back against Lametal and find a way to stop the collision before it's too late.
