Synopsis

Kamome Academy is plagued by rumors about the "Seven Mysteries"—urban legends whispered throughout the school. The most famous is Hanako-san, supposedly the ghost of a girl haunting the third-floor bathroom of the old building. Legend says she'll grant any wish if you summon her. First-year Nene Yashiro decides to test this. Desperate for love, she performs the summoning ritual in the bathroom—only to come face-to-face with Hanako-kun, a boy, not the girl she expected. When Hanako-kun says he doesn't have any magic to help with her romantic problems, Nene tries handling things on her own. But her desperation leads her to swallow a mermaid scale, which transforms her into a fish. Hanako-kun saves her, though the rescue comes with a catch: their fates are now bound together, and Nene becomes his assistant as payment. Pulled deeper into the supernatural side of things, Nene realizes the Seven Mysteries are far more complicated and real than she ever imagined.
