Things looked hopeless until the Border Defense Agency showed up with technology called Triggers and pushed back the invasion. Four years later, Border's still protecting the city and everyone treats them like heroes. Yuuma Kuga transfers to First Mikado City High School, which is connected to Border—something that immediately makes people suspicious. He gets bullied at first, but Osamu Mikumo, a Border trainee, defends him despite having his own reservations. Things get intense when a Neighbor suddenly appears in a restricted zone.
