Synopsis

Sheena's roommate dies, and nobody really cares—it's just another day at the orphanage. This place raises kids to be soldiers, and in a war that's been dragging on forever with no end in sight, death is basically routine. Most of the orphans have accepted this reality, but not Sheena. She's haunted by the conflict and desperately wants it to stop. The night her roommate dies, Sheena encounters a girl covered in blood who's somehow cheerful about it. The next day, that same girl shows up in class as a new student named Mimi Kagari. Turns out she's the orphanage's legendary weapon—a girl who literally can't die. When Mimi gets assigned as Sheena's new roommate, she's genuinely eager to make friends and fit in. But Mimi's total indifference to the war unsettles Sheena, and she struggles with the harsh world around her. Still, despite everything, an unlikely friendship begins to form between them.
