Synopsis

In the borderlands, humans are locked in a constant fight against demi-human creatures trying to steal their land and their gods. A young boy named Kai gets caught in this brutal conflict defending his village when he takes a devastating injury—and suddenly remembers his past life. The realization hits hard: without a guardian god backing you up, you're basically playing life on nightmare difficulty. Kai's newfound memories force him to see how stacked the deck really is for people like him. From that point on, he's thrust into an epic journey across a dangerous world full of magic, blood, and secrets as he tries to find his place in it all.
