The story follows Kinushima Michiru. In the near future, human-like androids become commonplace worldwide. SA Corp. develops the Giftia—androids designed to be more emotional and lifelike than any model before them. But there's a catch: Giftias have a limited lifespan, and things get messy once they exceed it. To deal with this problem, SA Corp. establishes a terminal service dedicated to retrieving Giftias past their expiration date. A fresh recruit named Tsukasa Mizugaki joins the team and partners with Isla, a Giftia herself, to track down the aging androids.
