Buchou Shima Kousaku
Kiichi Nakazawa, president of Hatsushiba Electric and Shima's longtime mentor from his days in sales, transfers him to Hatsushiba Trading—the company's affiliate—to keep him out of the internal power struggle that's about to go down when Nakazawa steps down. Shima lands the position of representative executive director and immediately gets to work, striking a deal with a French wine producer. He's soon jetting between Japan, France, and England, hunting for premium wines and negotiating the best deals he can find.
