Desperate to escape to some quiet life in the countryside, he hits a snag—he can't even afford the train ticket. So he needs work, and fast. His best option? Tutoring Tina, the daughter of Duke Howard, one of the kingdom's most influential nobles. Sounds great on paper. The problem is, Tina's brilliant at basically everything except actually casting spells. She can't manage even one. And she's got entrance exams coming up for the Royal Academy, where magical ability is non-negotiable. No magic = no admission. Allen's got a shot at figuring out what's blocking her—something that's stumped every other sorcerer in the kingdom. But there's a catch: does the duke even want him to succeed?
