In a world where death is just a minor inconvenience—people literally shoot themselves to cure a cold—the ability to resurrect yourself is what makes you human. Those who can't come back are called Vectors, diagnosed with Resurrection Deficiency Syndrome, and treated as criminals. The authorities either execute them or lock them away. Some escape artists operate in the shadows, helping these "defective" people disappear and start over, but taking on immortal opponents isn't a fair fight. Rin is one of those escape artists, dedicated to rescuing Vectors before the cops can catch them. She's up against Detective Kenzaki, who runs the anti-Vector task force with brutal efficiency. Kenzaki has a personal vendetta—a Vector killed his little sister, and he's willing to do whatever it takes to hunt them down. It's cops versus smugglers, mortals versus people who can't die. Nobody knows who's going to win, but one thing's certain: things are going to get messy.
