Kuro is a scrappy kid who wanders around in all black, carrying a coffin on her back. She's on a quest to track down some witch, and she's got her bat companion Sen along for the ride. As they travel, they run into all sorts of weird and wonderful characters and locations. The whole thing's done in 4-koma format with gorgeous artwork, and it pulls off this neat trick of being genuinely dark and gothic while still being absolutely charming. Pretty much every page hits both notes at once.
