Synopsis

Techno grew up in a bomb shelter with his genius grandfather, and they're both incredibly smart. One day he spots a girl named Hitomi in his yard and immediately becomes obsessed with her—though he insists on calling her Daisy despite her protests. After spending three months practicing on a robot, he finally works up the courage to approach her, but all he can manage is staring. He decides he wants to own her outright, which doesn't really work out. What follows is basically a disaster. Techno's inventions keep nearly killing Hitomi in increasingly ridiculous ways: he accidentally makes her fifty feet tall, creates a laser-shooting replacement teacher, conjures up a giant slug, and straight-up kidnaps her at one point. Meanwhile, the chaos expands to include his overprotective grandfather, a teacher with a weird costume fetish, an innocent boy rebel that somehow everyone wants dead, Hitomi's concerned friends, an android determined to protect her and destroy Techno, two missiles that Techno has befriended, and pretty much the entire class getting dragged into the mess.
