Synopsis

Tatsuhiro Satou is a 22-year-old hikikomori—basically a shut-in—who dropped out of college and has spent the last four years unemployed. He's deep into drugs to numb reality and has developed an elaborate conspiracy theory: a shadowy organization called the NHK is deliberately trapping people like him into isolation. Determined to fight back, Tatsuhiro decides to turn his life around and rejoin society. Problem is, he can barely handle talking to another human being. His social skills are basically nonexistent. Enter Misaki Nakahara, a mysterious girl who shows up at his door claiming she can save him from his hikikomori lifestyle. Whether she's actually the help he needs—or something else entirely—becomes the real question.
