People actually make their living competing with these things now. Arata, a 14-year-old kid, just transferred to Kamui Daimon Integrated Academy on Kamui Island near Japan. The place is basically the Harvard of LBX training, so competitive entry is brutal—you need to be champion of at least three official tournaments just to get your foot in the door. Once he arrives, Arata and his platoon crew start running into serious rivals and uncovering some weird stuff that doesn't quite add up about the academy itself.
