Synopsis

Midori Makibao is a small white racehorse who looks more like a donkey than a thoroughbred, complete with oddly wide nostrils. But what he lacks in appearance, he makes up for in guts and raw speed—qualities that carry him to victory in every major race he enters. Starting out was rough. Nobody took him seriously because of how he looked, and he faced all kinds of obstacles just trying to get his career off the ground. But Midori had real reasons to push through: there was Superhorse Cascade, a lifelong rival he was determined to beat, and his mother had been taken away to cover farm debts—he needed to win her back. Throughout the series, Midori faces constant hardship and struggle, but he keeps racing his way toward becoming a truly great racehorse.
