Synopsis

Confessing to a crush is tough enough for any teenager, and Chiyo Sakura finds out the hard way. After Umetarou Nozaki saves her from being late on the first day at Roman Academy, she can't help but develop feelings for him. Fast forward to second year—Sakura finally works up the nerve to confess. After school in an empty classroom, she lays it all out. Except there's a problem: Nozaki is actually a successful shoujo manga artist under the pen name "Sakiko Yumeno." His manga is known for perfectly capturing girls' emotions, which is ironic considering he's got zero experience with love or relationships himself. He completely misreads her confession as fan praise and just hands her an autograph. From there, one misunderstanding snowballs into another, and somehow Sakura ends up becoming his manga assistant. The series follows her attempts to actually get Nozaki to understand her feelings while they work on his manga together, all while dealing with his equally weird assistants—who, naturally, also go to Roman Academy.
