Fuutarou Uesugi is the kind of student who aces every test—a genuine genius at academics. Problem is, he's so obsessed with studying that he's basically a hermit with zero friends. To make matters worse, he's broke thanks to his family's debt. His boring routine gets shaken up when Itsuki Nakano, a new transfer student, tries to steal his usual lunch spot. They get into it, and Fuutarou wins by roasting her eating habits so hard that she leaves mad. Except then he finds out he's been hired as a private tutor for some wealthy family's daughters—and they're academically hopeless. His heart sinks when he realizes the girls he'll be teaching are Itsuki and her four identical quintuplet sisters: the quiet Miku, the energetic Yotsuba, the scheming Nino, and the composed Ichika.
