Every thousand years, the world's gods gather to decide humanity's fate. This time around—with representatives from Greek, Norse, Hindu, and other pantheons all voting under Zeus's authority—the verdict is unanimous: mankind has caused too much suffering and destruction, and deserves to be wiped out. Then Brunhilde, a Valkyrie demigod, throws a wrench in the works. Instead of just erasing humanity, she proposes Ragnarök: a series of one-on-one fights pitting humanity's greatest historical figures against the gods themselves. The divine council finds the idea too tempting to pass up—they're absolutely certain the gods will dominate anyway. So they agree. Now Brunhilde has to pull off the impossible: find and recruit the strongest, most legendary humans who've ever lived, or humanity is done for.
