Synopsis

Keita Amano's ordinary elementary school routine gets disrupted when he spots a capsule machine on his way to school. Inside one of the capsules, he discovers a youkai named Whisper, who's so grateful to be freed that he immediately declares himself Keita's personal butler. As a token of appreciation, Whisper gives Keita the Youkai Watch—a device that lets him see youkai and form contracts with them. Once Keita can actually see them, he realizes youkai are everywhere, constantly causing trouble in the normal world. With Whisper's help and an expanding crew of youkai allies, Keita gradually starts bridging the gap between humans and youkai—though he's not entirely sure that's what he's doing at first.
