Hatsune-jima is a crescent-shaped island known for its cherry blossoms—especially one legendary tree said to grant wishes. When the unofficial newspaper club challenges the official club to a writing competition, Ricca Morizono (the official club's president) accepts on behalf of her team: Himeno Katsuragi, Charles Yoshino, Sara Rukawa, Aoi Hinomoto, and Kiyotaka Yoshino, the club's lone male member and our protagonist. But as the competition gets underway, the girls find themselves increasingly distracted by Kiyotaka.
