Synopsis

Noor's always dreamed of becoming an adventurer like the heroes in his father's stories—the kind of person who slays dragons and breaks curses. Problem is, you actually need skills to pull that off. His "Parry" ability is embarrassingly weak, he has zero prospects, and literally everyone's telling him to give up. Instead of accepting defeat, Noor decides to just work harder. A lot harder. He commits to intense, solitary training, thinking a year should be enough. When that doesn't pan out, he keeps going—five years, ten years, whatever it takes. By his late twenties, still without any real improvement, he finally decides to become an adventurer anyway. He might not know the first thing about actually adventuring, and his training clearly hasn't paid off the way he hoped, but he's stubborn enough to try one last time. The only problem? Nobody seems to know how to react to him, and he has no idea why everyone keeps giving him those weird looks.
