It's the Universal Century year 0079, and Zeon has broken away from the Earth Federation and started a full-scale war. They're fighting everywhere—on Earth, in the colonies, on the Moon, everywhere. The problem is Zeon's got mobile suits, these massive humanoid robots that give them a serious advantage. When a Zeon reconnaissance team goes rogue and attacks Side 7, the civilians there stumble onto the Federation's answer: the Gundam. A bunch of refugees and Federation soldiers end up crewing the warship White Base, and suddenly this ragtag group finds themselves in the middle of the One Year War with a shot at actually changing how it plays out. If they survive, anyway.
