Rein was a beast tamer in the hero's party, but he couldn't pull his weight in actual combat. When the rest of the group got tired of carrying him, they kicked him out—apparently "playing with animals" wasn't enough. Now free to do his own thing, Rein strikes out as an independent adventurer. He eventually crosses paths with a girl from the cat tribe, one of the supposedly strongest races around. Meanwhile, the hero's party has no idea that most of their victories actually came down to Rein's help. This is the story of a beast tamer finally able to reach his potential, and the fateful meeting that changes everything for him.
