Magic has been openly known for about a hundred years as a force that rivals science. But everything changed when MISO was discovered—a material that blocks magic. This discovery turned magic from an exclusive gift into a learnable skill anyone could develop. Shōta Hacchōya is just a high school student at a magic academy, eating miso soup one morning, when a princess from Majieeru suddenly crashes through the door. Majieeru's the birthplace of magic itself, so this is kind of a big deal.
