Private Detective Hiroshi Inaba is a human-wolf hybrid created through genetic engineering. He investigates cases by tasting and examining people's hair—basically his whole thing—and can transform into a more wolf-like form. Depending on what hair he eats, he gains different powers and abilities. He used to work with the police but now runs his own detective agency with Yuuta, his sadistic cross-dressing secretary who constantly gets mistaken for a girl, and Kei, a pretty normal teenager working part-time. His former police partner Ogino still helps out occasionally. His main nemesis is Don Valentino, an evil mastermind goat obsessed with money. The Don's got a crew of weirdly loyal henchmen, including the honorable samurai Laurence, who never takes a bag off his head. Most of the series follows Hiroshi and his team attempting to arrest Valentino in various schemes that inevitably fall apart.
