Tetsuko no Tabi
Kikuchi Naoe is a manga artist struggling to find decent work when she stumbles into an opportunity to travel with a mysterious writer. Turns out her new companion is Yokomi Hirohiko, basically Japan's most obsessed train enthusiast. He's already knocked out visiting all 4,636 JR stations back in 1995—now he's setting his sights on the remaining 5,207 private railway stations. Kikuchi is horrified by the prospect, but between Yokomi's persistence and her boss (who's apparently also a train nut) pushing her toward it, she doesn't have much choice. So she ends up tagging along on what becomes an ongoing journey across Japan's railway system. The manga draws heavily from the author's own experiences, making it semi-autobiographical.
