Synopsis

When Keiichi moves to the quiet village of Hinamizawa, he's amazed at how quickly he bonds with the locals. He's having the time of his life hanging out and playing games with his new friends. That all changes when he spots his tomboyish friend Mion working at a maid café and decides to give her a hard time about it—only to have her reveal she's actually Mion's twin sister, Shion. Both sisters want to spend the Cotton Drifting Festival with Keiichi, but things go downhill when Shion drags him into a sealed shrine during the festival, breaking one of the town's sacred taboos. Now Keiichi and Shion are convinced they're cursed to be spirited away, and they're desperate to find a way to make amends before it's too late.
