Synopsis

Subaru Natsuki is just walking home from the convenience store when he suddenly finds himself in a completely unfamiliar city surrounded by people speaking a language he doesn't understand. It doesn't take him long to figure out he's been transported to another world. Things go downhill fast—a shop owner kicks him out for having no money, and he soon gets cornered by a group of thugs. That's when a silver-haired girl named Satella shows up and saves him. She's hunting a thief that Subaru had spotted earlier in town. After she chases the thugs away, Subaru offers to help her track down the thief as payback for the rescue. Their search eventually leads them to a cellar full of stolen goods, but the moment they step inside, they're attacked by a dark shadowy figure. Both of them die in the encounter. When Subaru opens his eyes, he's shocked to discover he's back to earlier that same day—and he's about to learn that he's stuck in some kind of time loop, forced to relive the same events over and over.
