A modern fantasy inspired by Japanese Shinto mythology. Suzuhara Izumiko is a shy 15-year-old who's spent her whole life sheltered in a remote shrine nestled in the Kumano mountains. She has an unfortunate habit of frying any electronic device she touches. When she starts thinking about leaving the mountains for city life, her guardian Sagara Yukimasa pushes her to attend high school in Tokyo and basically binds his son Miyuki to her service for life. At first Miyuki and Izumiko can't stand each other, but everything changes when a terrifying accident happens during a school trip. The incident forces them both to confront their true roles—Izumiko as the last living vessel for a Himegami goddess, and Miyuki as a guardian Yamabushi destined to protect her.
