Synopsis

Okuto Nakamura is a shy, awkward guy who's really only passionate about two things: his pet octopus and Aiki Hirose, a genuinely kind classmate. He's been crushing on Hirose since their first day of high school, but his terrible social skills have kept him watching from the sidelines. Eventually, he works up enough nerve to actually talk to him. Of course, things go hilariously wrong. One stupid mistake completely tanks his chances of a normal friendship before they even start. But here's the thing—school requires everyone to pair up for group projects and activities constantly, which means Nakamura ends up spending way more time with Hirose than he ever expected. So the question becomes: can he use these forced interactions to turn things around and finally become actual friends with his crush?
