Synopsis

Asatte no Houkou follows Karada Iokawa, a girl about to start junior high, and Shouko Nogami, a young woman who's just returned from studying abroad—and happens to be the ex-girlfriend of Karada's older brother, Hiro. When Shouko gets back, Karada drags her to the beach along with Hiro and some friends. Still annoyed that Hiro left her behind in the States, Shouko snaps at Karada, calling her hair ribbons childish. Karada takes it hard since she hates being treated like a kid. Later that day, Shouko finds Karada at a shrine praying to be older. Her wish actually comes true—Karada suddenly transforms into an adult. At the same moment, Shouko loses her adulthood and regresses to around eleven years old.
